When is the best time to do a newborn photography session?

Newborn photography can only be done up to 3 weeks old, so it’s a short timeframe but very worth it in the end! We like to photograph newborns before they reach two weeks old so they can be posed into those sweet curly poses you see on the samples! During this timeframe, newborns are sleepy and still curly from the womb, so they can easily be posed or wrapped.

What happens if I need to change my date because my baby arrives earlier or later than anticipated?

If the baby doesn’t arrive on your due date, we will hold time before and after so you’re guaranteed a space no matter when the baby arrives. Make sure to keep in touch with us for the latest updates!

How long will my newborn session last and what time do sessions take place?

Baby photography sessions usually take place in the morning/afternoon hours of the day. We like to work around nap times, so feel free to let us know your baby’s nap schedule beforehand so we can schedule the best time! On average, newborn sessions can last anywhere from 2-3 hours and toddler/family portraits are usually about an hour to 1.5 hours.

When can we expect to receive our photos from the session?

Within a week of your session, we will send over a private digital photo gallery with all the raw photos for you to review and favorite for retouching. Once you choose your favorites, we will work on retouching them and send over your final digital gallery 3-4 weeks after your session date. All of your photos will be in a password protected gallery that only you and Patty will have access to.

What do I bring to the session? Do I need to provide anything?

All you have to do is bring the baby and I’ll take care of the rest! My team and I provide a huge selection of high-quality and unique wardrobe, baby wraps, blankets, headbands, and the list goes on. My studio is also set-up with a refreshment and snack area, full bathroom with shower and changing table, and lounge area with entertainment.

Do you include siblings and/or family photos in your newborn sessions?

Yes of course! Although the majority of the session time will be focused on your newborn, we are happy to include a few sibling and/or family portraits. There is no additional charge to these photographs and they will be added to your gallery.

What health and safety precautions are taken during my newborn session?

Health and safety are always our top priority. Our team and I take all the necessary precautions at every session in our studio. All props, wardrobe, and equipment is fully sanitized and cleaned before and after every session. My studio is fully ventilated, air-controlled and always stocked with hand sanitizer.

What is the pricing?

Session fees cover everything from consultations, use of props, set-ups, professional editing and retouching, online gallery viewing, and high-resolution digital files with printing rights. A 50% deposit is due at the time of booking. The remainder is due on the day of the photoshoot.

Do you offer the option to order prints of our final images?

Yes! We offer professional quality prints that can be ordered directly from your final gallery.

Where will my session take place?

Our studio is located in Alhambra, about 9 miles north-east of Los Angeles. Click here to get an inside look into my studio space! Alternatively, depending on the type of session, we can do an outdoor location such as the beach, a park, or alternative location of your choice.

When is the best timeframe to have a maternity session?

We usually book clients for maternity sessions between 28-34 weeks of your pregnancy.

What should I wear and bring to my maternity session?

We will send you preparation instructions before your photo session, however our studio is equipped with a large selection of gowns, silks, lace robes, and draping fabrics in many different color options. All we ask is that you bring a few neutral basics such as nude bras, nude thong, and non-maternity jeans.
